艺术家国际音乐与舞蹈协会(AIMDA)/多伦多音乐学院(TSMC)
As a Canadian registered non-profit organization based in Toronto, Ontario and founded in 1997 by Canadian Icon and contralto, Maureen Forrester, Artist International Music & Dance Association (AIMDA) has its mission to nourish deep-rooted art and multi-cultural music by gathering many world-class musicians.
AIMDA’s goals are to promote cultural exchanges through the arts of music and dance, as well as to produce and present performances and exhibitions that showcase emerging artists through the arrangement of annual competitions since 1997 with the establishment and granting of prizes, awards, and distinctions.
The Artist International Music and Dance Association also presented the very successful Golden October concert, at the Toronto Centre for the Arts on 5040 Young Street, Toronto, Ontario, George Weston Recital Hall; on October 14th, 2017. It involved world renowned musicians with professional level orchestras and presented Tchaikovsky's opera, Iolanta, conducted by the famous Italian conductor, Leonardo Quadrini.
AIMDA’s main objective is to give the gift of music to the community and provide the experience and exposure needed to build up music in our community.
The focus of its project is to engage seniors and involve themselves into multicultural music and arts to showcase choir and orchestral music. Participants will be enrolled into a senior choir and orchestra, to benefit the community and engage themselves into social interaction with other like-minded seniors in the community, and share music-related skills and knowledge.
AIMDA will present the famous opera, La Traviata in concert at the Toronto Centre for the Arts, by the end of the program, and seniors will be trained by prestigious musicians such as Italian conductor Leonardo Quadrini, Tenor Colin Yip, Violinist Rachad Feizoullaev, and many more that have reached the top of their instrumental and musical theoretic skills.
The Toronto School of Music Canada (TSMC) is one of the largest international conservatories of music in Canada, offering instruction in classical, contemporary and jazz music.
TSMC takes pride in our distinguished artistic faculty who, in addition to providing the highest music education, are noted for the attention they give to each individual student's needs. TSMC is also fortunate to be able to offer master-classes, conducted by internationally renowned artists.
It offer programs in all orchestral instruments, conducting, composition,Opera, Jazz music, Church music, Music theater, voice, piano, guitar, organ, All TSMC’s programs are founded on strong faculty-student relationships. It is a process that elevates performance, one that is equally rewarding for students and their teachers. It is one that persists long after complete.
The accomplishments of TSMC’s students are inspirational. Many of them become soloists in major concert halls, leading opera houses, orchestras, and ensembles.

意大利斯卡拉歌剧院著名指挥家艾瑞克-德莫利评价加拿大多伦多音乐学院副院长、著名女高音歌唱家刘玉梅是当今最值得喝彩、最具有音乐感染力的女高音歌唱家之一。“Bel canto”(美声)在意大利语中意为美好的歌唱。西方人所理解的“bel canto”是指由罗西尼、多尼采蒂、贝利尼等作曲家开创的一个特定时代所包括的歌唱风格、内容、形式、技巧等,而上述三位作曲家的作品也成为联结古典主义晚期与浪漫主义时期歌剧的桥梁。当本刊记者今日采访加拿大多伦多音乐学院副院长刘玉梅时,她告诉我:“既为美好的歌唱,也就是说演唱者的声音首先是美的,而给予美好歌唱的支持的就是歌唱方法了,气息、共鸣、高位置等都是必不可少的。”
